A person’s belief system allows or disallows things to affect them. For instance, if a person is afraid of public speaking, it could be for a number of reasons. Most likely is the lack of practice, but some people may believe they can’t do it because it’s an irrational fear. They allow or give permission to this fear to affect them. They see that something can affect them, which is an awareness that would fit in the Witness. They go further to believe that something is actively affecting them, thus giving power to belief. It’s like a captain who wants to launch his ship and go sailing, but he sees a storm that he believes is coming for him specifically. He chooses to stay on land! A Learner with a belief anchor says, “I see that storm that might be a problem for me, but I choose to sail anyway.” It’s a way to speak one’s power and make it be the winner. Who said perception is reality? Maybe it should be belief begets bounty!
