We must release the idea of being in control. A person controls nothing in reality. It detracts from the truth to think otherwise. The story is different when we think of our personal reality, what goes on in our own minds. We can control the choices we make. Our choices are met with reality’s consequences, which we can’t avoid. However, if we apply careful consideration to our choices, we can manage the risks well. Regardless of one’s best efforts, though, the Learner understands the consequences are determined by nature. With practice, we can choose the emotions we feel when reality doesn’t match the personal reality. Choosing how to react to those lessons of consequence can be one of the most interesting and rewarding puzzles.
