This trait is understanding that impermanence is a key aspect to what makes experiences, people, and this life meaningful. As a result, a Learner strives to appreciate all things with a love equal to their own self-love, but the removal of those things only strengthens their importance. One learns to detach oneself from the idea of permanence and embrace the moment, the people, and experiences as fragile temporal treasures. Itβs like a captain who sails upon a ship that he knows is present now, but will be reduced to splinters by time. He may feel a rueful feeling, but he is more driven by the appreciation he feels for his ship in that moment. A Learner knows that Impermanence gives meaning instead of taking it away.
