The origin of morality is a question that many philosophers debate: do morals come from gods, the self, or culture? Whatever the answer, what is morally good or bad is clearly up to the person. A Learner could say that morally bad would be anything that one, in their healthiest states, wouldn’t want done for/to themselves. It’s what moves as many people possible toward the ultimate good of universal love. It’s when a captain says, “If I were at my strongest, clearest, and being true to myself, is this the wind that I want filling my sails?” A person must also use their social awareness, objectivity, and systemic understanding to know that everyone is different. Things they wouldn’t mind happening, others might resist, so whatever one decides as morally good or bad should have a diffused edge, not a solid, sudden cut off.
