A person who is self-sufficient can be alone without anxious fear. It may be that they wish they werenβt alone, but they are not broken in isolation. Being alone is OK; being with others is OK. Solitude is needed in order to grow. In being alone, a person can find the quiet power within themselves. That is the same power that helps them be alone because it helps them resolve negative emotions, critically think to solve problems, assess risks, and make goals.
