There is a certain ruefulness that befalls one who sees through the illusion of lifeβs game. A person no longer values the same things that society does. Those values become trivial, and itβs not because of an inflated sense of ego. Itβs because the values are divisive and not aligned with what the person has seen: a greater sense of unity. The rueful mood might sound like thereβs an aspect of regret, but itβs not like that. Itβs a sense of having lost oneβs βinnocenceβ of the old self. The old ways, companions, and even family members may begin some kind of slow departure from oneβs life. The benefit of such a cost may come into question: is moving toward ultimate good worth the cost? The answer should be yes because one stands to gain oneβs true self.
