There is a certain ruefulness that befalls one who sees through the illusion of lifeโs game. A person no longer values the same things that society does. Those values become trivial, and itโs not because of an inflated sense of ego. Itโs because the values are divisive and not aligned with what the person has seen: a greater sense of unity. The rueful mood might sound like thereโs an aspect of regret, but itโs not like that. Itโs a sense of having lost oneโs โinnocenceโ of the old self. The old ways, companions, and even family members may begin some kind of slow departure from oneโs life. The benefit of such a cost may come into question: is moving toward ultimate good worth the cost? The answer should be yes because one stands to gain oneโs true self.
