1/4 The words you say to yourself can set you up to fail.

“I will be happy” tells your unconscious mind that happiness is out there somewhere, but it’s not where you are now.

Your inner peace becomes a distant goal rather than a cherished possession. 🧵

2/4 A cycle forms when you have the “chase” state of mind.

You pursue a goal, you reach it, feel brief relief, the joy soon vanishes, and blame yourself for not doing more.

This isn’t building a happy life but an endless task for fear of recognizing how happy you already are.

3/4 Be aware of your word choice; sense what you have now.

This isn’t about fake optimism or ignoring friction, but about honoring what you have now along with the pain.

You choose how to see things. The moment you ignore what you have is when it slips through your fingers.

4/4 If you’re exhausted by pushing your desires into the distance, it’s time for a new mindset.

I help people untangle existential friction and societal pressures through critical thinking.
