1/4 Forcing yourself to focus on positivity is a devious trap.
Optimism that ignores the problems that cause deep, emotional friction is simply avoidance. Also, it’s a choice that you make.
Avoiding your emotions and problems comes with a heavy toll. 🧵
2/4 You suppress your awareness of what’s going on when.
It’s a contradiction your brain senses immediately: hiding emotions doesn’t resolve them. Instead, it builds anxiety and burnout.
You are just pretending that you have peace in hopes that it will magically appear.
3/4 Examine your problems instead of ignoring them.
Peace isn’t behind a mask. It’s the understanding that growth requires trials. Then, you can ask the hard questions and accept reality without panicking or pretending.
Optimism isn’t enough. It’s the dark and the light.
4/4 You don’t need another shallow affirmation; you need critical thinking, perspective, and a self-identity to guide you.
I help people find who they are so they can be strong enough to stand on their own.
