Limiting Beliefs
These are self-imposed or conditioned ideas that constrict what you think is possible. You constrain yourself because of factors in the external, immediate environment. For example, if people repeatedly make the claim that you are not good at playing chess, you may subconsciously start to believe them. As a result, you are unknowingly negating your growth by holding the belief they gave you. You have given your power away to the people who don’t believe in you.
Commentary
Limiting beliefs, for those that may not know, are beliefs a person holds that limits their ability, such as “I’m too old” or “I’m not good at that”. We do this because we are subject to limitations, and for good effect. If we had infinite power, what would we accomplish? Would tasks be meaningful to us if we can just snap our fingers, and it’s done? The reward is in the effort of doing it, not in having it done. One of the best things that we can do in this life is overcome our limitations because it teaches expansion and growth, as opposed to stagnation.
However, belief itself is unlimited, right? We can believe anything we want regardless of what is true in this reality. If we can believe in anything we want, why would we choose to believe in confined power, such as when we die we are nothing? Why wouldn’t we want to believe that we have every power outside of this life? That defines the dichotomy of polarity: we have little to no power in this kind of life, but in the beyond we have every power. Souls have every power, but no meaning because it’s easy. Mortal bodies have meaningful lives, but no power.

There is this mirror where the mortal looks to the immortal wishing for freedom, but the immortal looks to the mortal wishing for meaning.
Thus, the power really lies in believing anything is possible and accessible given the right energy level. If people want you to believe in certain restrictions, say the karmic cycle, why do they? Maybe they found their answer for now and want to share it. Maybe they want to have followers to pad their ego. Maybe they want control over you.
I’d say believe in every power, every possibility, and every reality. It’s out there somewhere because if we weren’t thinking about it, it wouldn’t be real. It would be nothing, and we wouldn’t think of it.
