Traps

Traps can represent patterns that repeat beneath your notice. You are so involved with the details, you are sometimes blinded by them. Be aware of these traps, and keep a vigilant watch for them!

Emotional Avoidance Trap

One of the biggest traps of all is encountered in so many situations. Your emotions are great tools, but if they’re ignored, they’re incredible obstacles.

Suppose you have a deep desire to accomplish a goal. If you are strong in your agency and your identity, you may understand the work and sacrifice that come with accomplishing that desire.

If you are in a more vulnerable state, your subconscious may be yelling for you to avoid the Desire Pains. As a result, maybe you decide to go the path of least resistance and conserve your energy. Both are actions that numb can your system of desire totally, especially with repeated suppression.

Mimetic Trap

This is the trap in which you mime the social dream: study, family, career, success, etc. You may not want these things, but you pursue them because everyone else is. They say that it will be good for you, but something inside you resists. Even when success is achieved, you still feel empty.

Productivity High-Jack Trap

This is the inability to relax due to a driving sense to be productive. You can’t slow down to enjoy a movie, read a book, or enjoy silence in the slow passage of time. You are always trying to optimize your ability to make something. As a result, it’s difficult to spend time in still thought to process emotions from the day.

Relief Trap

This exemplifies the escapism that gives you a sense of relief and comfort. When things get rough, you want a safe place where you can isolate and insulate every challenge and difficulty. You lose yourself, time passes faster, and distraction from hardship collapses the meanwhile.
